Vinimark Trade Tasting at DHL Stadium

A grim wet miserable day was much improved by the opportunity to attend the Vinimark Trade Fair held recently at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town - a great venue with underground parking - quite a boon for the rainy day!

Vinimark also took the opportunity to launch their new look - with Connect, Collaborate and Celebrate as their new tagline.

Vinimark's Night of the Stars trade wine tasting at One&Only

Night of the Stars is Vinimark's annual trade wine tasting event where they showcase the best of the best from their wine brand partners. These wine brands present their wines with a Platter's five star-rating as well as Double Gold medal winners at the Michelangelo Wine and Spirit Awards and Veritas Awards.

2018 Platter guide launched at Table Bay Hotel

Records were hit with 111 Five Star wines being awarded this year. Congrats to Raats Family Wines, who walked away with the coveted Winery of the Year award, with 5 of their wines achieving 5 stars, and 3 more allocated to Bruwer Raats' partnerships, viz Mvemve Raats and B Vintners.

The Cape Winemakers' Guild is a very select group of winemakers, who are invited to be a part of the CWG. The annual VIP tasting is a very special tasting, as each winemaker presents the wine which they have made specifically for the auction, which cannot be acquired elsewhere.

Edgebaston Harvest 2015

The 2015 vintage was a low yielding, fast ripening affair, which produced dense, concentrated wines. The team worked well to pick the fruit at optimum ripeness and the rewards are in the tanks and barrels, quietly maturing for the next year or two.
